About
Hygge (pronounced hue-guh not hoo-gah) is a Danish word used when acknowledging a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, ordinary or extraordinary as cosy, charming or special.
So whether it’s a cosy afternoon out with friends where you’re just enjoying each others company to the simple act of lighting a candle with every meal. Hygge is being aware of a good moment whether it’s simple or special.
This year, we've taken inspiration from Hygge to present a series of festive workshops:
Enjoy a cosy afternoon at the Shipley Art Gallery making Christmas crafts, drinking hot chocolate and eating mince pies whilst listening to some festive Christmas music.
Whilst you're here, join us in our Creator Space and make a beautiful upcycled contemporary wreath to hang in your home this Christmas.
