Ways to Play: Design

Design your own 'surprise egg'

Thursday 26 August

Book 10.30am - 12pm

Book 1.30 - 3pm

Join artist Paul Raymond to make and decorate a 'surprise egg' inspired by the James Renforth Memorial Egg in our Saltwell Park Museum exhibition. After exploring the artwork, objects and curiosities in the collection, you'll have the opportunity to draw pictures, use collage techniques and make patterns to decorate your egg. The collection also contains natural specimens so you will use modelling skills to create a surprise creature hatching from your decorated egg.

Pre booking essential. Suitable for age 6+ accompanied by an adult.
