Join us for a monthly Saturday art class for 7-12 year olds.
At each session you'll be guided by a professional artist to discover a different art technique, such as watercolours, ceramics, mixed media, drawing and more.
Session themes:
10 August: Castles and Palaces: Create and colour a castle or palace using card, coloured papers and collage.21 September: Clay Bowl: Looking at some of the examples at Shipley, create a bowl based on an animal.
19 October: How to draw Birds: Follow a step by step demonstration and then draw some birds in the gallery.
16 November: Mosaic Tile: Looking at Roman designs, create a mosaic tile using glass and ceramic tessera.
14 December: Festive decorations: Make art straw stars and other decorations for the home and Christmas Tree.
Our artist has extensive experience of working with Neurodivergent young people, including those with SEND. These sessions will be designed to be welcoming and inclusive for all.
