Enjoy fun, imaginative, and educational activities at the Shipley. There will be drop-in activity stations amongst the artworks that you can explore at your own pace. Everything is tailored to little ones and our friendly Early Years specialists are on hand to guide you. 

There'll be an array of hands-on activities run by the Shipley Art Gallery and our sister venues. Check back here for details of line up.

All activities are free-flow and done at your own pace. There will also be a book corner for chill out time. 

Useful information:

• Book to arrive from 10am from 10.30am. Whichever timeslot you book, you can stay until the event finishes at 12pm.
• You can arrive any time after your booked timeslot. We recommend allowing at least 1.5 hours for your visit if possible.
• Step free access.
• Seating available.
• Buggy parking.
• Breastfeeding welcome throughout the gallery.
• Families welcome to bring snacks. There is a small cafe at Gateshead Central Library (3 minute walk away).
