About
Get the festive season off to a creative start, by making your own unique ceramic Christmas decorations and tea light holder. Paint bisque-fired ceramics and watch as your creations are fired in the Raku kiln. This technique originates from Japan, and uses heat to alter the colours of the glazes in surprising ways. Your creations can be taken home the same day: the perfect adornment for your home, or unique Christmas presents.
This event is part of the Shipley’s Christmas Saturdays, so why not enjoy a mince pie and some relaxed Christmas shopping in the gallery while you’re here. If the weather is dry this workshop will take place outdoors – please dress appropriately. Please note, workshop finish times are approximate as firing time can vary slightly.
