About

The Shipley Art Gallery comes alive with music at this lunchtime recital by Ana Fernandez Guerra (soprano) and David Murray (piano).

Ana Fernandez Guerra graduated from Newcastle University in 2015 with a First in music. Since then she has been singing in operas, recitals and oratorios throughout the North East, including with Ryedale Festival Opera in 2016 and singing the role of Eve for Haydn's The Creation in Durham Cathedral in 2015. She has been taught by Miranda Wright since 2012 and has also been a Samling Academy participant since 2013, participating in both of their opera productions at the Sage Gateshead.

For this lunchtime recital, David Murray - who has been recognised as one of the North East's most acclaimed pianists - joins forces with Ana to present a short recital filled with varied items and gems from the opera stage and song repertory.
